30-Day Green Smoothie- Day 4

Today, I decided to do some things differently and add some different items.

as you can see in the pic above, I added cucumber and sweet potato.


– 1/2 cup Pure Almond Milk (add more throughout if needed)
– 1 cup Spinach 
– 1 cup Kale
– 1/2 Cucumber
– 1/2 Gala Apple
– 1/2 Sweet Potato
– 1 Banana
– 1 tablespoon flax seed
– Cup of ice


I start off by putting the 1/2 cup of milk, kale, and spinach in the blender and blending it until its really smooth. I do this because I found that kale can be more gritty and this makes it a bit more smooth. Then blend the cucumber and apple in the mix, blend a little more. Then add the banana and sweet potato and flax seed. Followed by ice…


So the picture above, is the consistency of the smoothie before I added the sweet potato and ice. Sorry I don’t have a picture after adding ice (camera died) but it was a little darker and thicker.

So far so good… Tune in for tomorrow’s smoothie.. “Day 5”.
