So I decided to make my own peanut butter. I’ve been wanting to for a while but hadn’t done it {probably cause the same time I brought peanuts my husband brought peanut butter:?😒}. So I used the very last peanut butter and decided to make my own before he went and replaced it.

So it really was really easy to make. I used my Ninja with the large processing bowl {wait I haven’t told you guys…I got a Ninja and I loooove it. But more on that later}.

Ingredients:
•Peanuts (duh right lol)

Optional Ingredients:
•Oil {I heard it makes it creamier}- Any oil u like. Olive, almond, coconut, vegetable,  corn, flax, etc.
•Sweetener- {Raw} honey (I used this), agave, sugar, splenda, stevia, molasses,  etc

And whatever else you would like to add. I thought about next time adding flax seed or chia seeds {maybe}.

So this was the end results. I added a little honey then blended for about 10-15 more seconds. All together I blended for 4 min. It was smoother than it looks, it kinda looks gritty on here but it actually wasnt.

Again I heard that oil helps it get a creamier, next time I’ll try it because my husband thinks it’s a little dry. But as it sits the natural oils do rise so if you do decided to add oil, I would caution to not over do it.

I just used the peanut butter container that was empty.

I love the idea of making something so simple and taking it back to its basics and controlling what’s going in it.

Little by little I’m learning. And it’s a fun process.

What have you started making from scratch?

Be blessed!
